The idea
A trip that feels like stepping into the story
There is a particular kind of traveler who feels most at home in the world just after the sun goes down — mist in the trees, lantern light on a path, old places that keep their own counsel.
This trip is for them, and it is one of my favorites to design. I build it around the mood of the season rather than a set route: lantern-lit paths at dusk, stays with genuine old-world atmosphere, and the kind of quiet you only find in small places most visitors hurry past.
